Salman Khan takes over Bigg Boss from Amitabh Bachchan

Salman Khan is the new 'Bigg Boss'

Salman Khan will host Bigg Boss 4.
Bollywood's original bad boy Salman Khan has stepped into the shoes of megastar Amitabh Bachchan as the host of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss and says that he is going to give the contestants a tough time.
Unlike Big B's "pop philosophy", Salman said that his approach will be more straightforward and he will be, "Doston ka dost, dushmanon ka dushman." (Friend for friends, enemy to enemies)
The grapevine was abuzz with reports that arch rival Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar were in talks to take over from Bachchan, but it was Salman who was announced as the host for the fourth season of the show, in Mumbai today.
And Salman promises a style that will be very different from the show's previous hosts, including, Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty and Bachchan.
"Big B and Shilpa did a good job. My style will be very different from Mr Bachchan's. We are two different personalities. Though I have always respected Big B, he is the biggest star of the country and I am just a kid," said the 45-year-old addressing a press conference.
Meanwhile Bachchan has taken over the reins of Kaun Banega Crorepati 4 from previous season's host Shah Rukh and the show will go on air soon.
Interestingly Salman was hosting the popular game show Dus Ka Dum on Sony, which was postponed to accommodate Kaun Banega Crorepati by the channel but the actor says that he ended the contract, but did not elaborate on the reason.
"Me and Mr Bachchan have swapped places...The contract with Sony is over. But if they want me to do it again, I will because I really liked the connect," said Salman.
Bigg Boss is the Indian version of the popular British reality show Big Brother. It has celebrity contestants locked in a house under the surveillance of multiple cameras for a period of three months without any contact with the outside world.

Salman Khan has replaced Amitabh Bachchan to host Bigg Boss 4. Earlier, both Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar were considered to host the show. But, things didn’t work out for them.

Sallu will now compete with Big B for viewer’s preference as Kaun Banega Crorepati will air on another channel in the same time.
According to sources, Salman does not care about it at all. In his opinion he and senior Bachchan have different mannerism and the two reality shows are of different format.
Will Salman make a good host on Bigg Boss?

The fourth season will be hosted by none other than Salman Khan [ Images ].
The actor replaces Amitabh Bachchan [ Images ], the host of the reality show's previous season. Incidentally, the Big B [ Images ] is hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati at the same time slot on another channel.
While Bachchan was more of a friend, philosopher and guide to the inmates of the house last time on Bigg Boss [ Images ], Salman plans to be brutally honest and spontaneous. Which is why we can't wait to see him in action.
But what do you think?
Do you think Salman will make a better host than Bachchan on Bigg Boss? Or would you have preferred to see him inside the house? Tell us!

Salman Khan DABANGG is BIGG BOSS of 4th season, not SRK, Akki!!

Heard this?? Salman Khan, the macho man of bollywood is going to host the fourth season of popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ on colors channel and not Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar or Big B.

Salman promises to mark the show with his own stamp of spontaneity and honesty in complete contrast to the styles of being goody as practiced by Big B and Shilpa Shetty. In fact, the macho Khan admitted that he accepted the offer mainly to connect with the audiences, but would also like to be friends with those who remained straight- forward and good in the house.

However, believe Sallubhai to show his menacing worst towards those scheming and doing nasty things in the house. Salman Khan, whose film ‘Dabangg’ is going to be released on Eid, was very kicked about the idea of hosting a reality show which will connect him to the millions of his fans throughout the country.

And if you thought that Salman Khan is not familiar with the show, think again. The macho Khan confesses that he had seen the show during the shooting of ‘Wanted’ and loved ‘Vindoo Dara Singh’ crying on the show.

He even loved Rakhi Sawant’s antics on the ‘Bigg Boss’. So this time Salman Khan is not going to act like friend, philosopher and guide, like Big B did in the earlier stint, and promises to bring his own spontaneous charm which he showed on his show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ earlier.

Salman Khan will come for two days to interact with the participants of the ‘Bigg Boss’ house and he promises that it would be all different than earlier interaction. On the comparison with Big B, Salman Khan said that he had his own unique style and would go with that.

As far as TRP war with the Amitabh Bachchan hosted ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, which is also likely to go on air at the same time, Sallubhai discounted all such things saying he never bothered about those things.
In trade circles it is being seen as a master stroke by Colors channel, which had lost Big B to Sony for ‘KBC’. By snatching Salman Khan from Sony (Sallu hosted Sony’s ‘Dus Ka Dum’), it has cleared the equation now.

Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan TRP war becomes interesting as only these two actors were reasonably successful on television from the bollywood and now they are testing each other popularity through their respective programmes.
Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan hosted ‘KBC’ (and also ‘Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Tez Hain’) had failed to take off and was removed mid way. But Salman Khan’s ‘Dus Ka Dum’ was successful.

Earlier, Sony had pushed Salman Khan’s show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ on the backburner to accommodate Amitabh Bachchan’s show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, and this act of Sallu going to Colors channel is also being seen as a retaliation from him.
It is not clear if Salman Khan would return to host ‘Dus ka Dum’ on Sony as he was non-committal and said that it all depended on the channel now.

Salman’s Dabangg has an admirer in Shahrukh

Sallu's new movie Dabangg has become a rage among the public ever since its promos hit the small screens. But surprisingly, it has caught the eyes of his enemy Shahrukh Khan.

Shahrukh is keen to watch the film Dabangg starring Salman and debutante Sonakshi Sinha. He said that he had watched Lafangey Parindey last week and would watch Dabangg at home after his children finish their exams.

Well, it may be recalled that Shahrukh and Salman have been keeping away from each other ever since they got into a brawl at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party a few years ago. Let’s hope Shahrukh’s gesture brings them closer again
